OH MAN. The last week has been a roller coaster. I can’t stop changing my mind. Things are changing, and it’s really hard to let go of the past sometimes. But you just have to. Yesterday Anthony graduated.
Last week we went to NJ for Rich’s wedding. Ant’s car broke down for the last time. He got a new white ‘00 Golf. It’s nice, though I have a lot of...
seasonal status!
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind! My last days of working at the Prospect St store were fun. Still hasn’t hit me yet that I’ll probably never work there again. But I’m on seasonal status, which holds my total number of hours worked for the company. I don’t get to use my benefits or fsa or my discount card (or so they say…we’ll see). BUT when I go...
Shoes are a half size too big. Fuck. At least it’s free to return them. :(
Seriously, Zappos is probably the best company I’ve ever come across. I’ve bought a few things from them over the last few years and they have the best customer service! I remember I had bought a Marc Jacobs coat and it was stolen off my front porch and they totally refunded my money. Not to mention they have free shipping and free return shipping.
Well I bought a new pair of...
So I haven’t even begun packing to move home and all I can think about is packing for the trip to Prague. I was looking for a good backpack for traveling. Something very lightweight and fitted to my shoulders and back (something that won’t hang off of me). Black is key. Here are a few that I came across:
Patgonia
Lightweight travel pack
Pocket pack
crosstown daypack
...
I got my wisdom teeth pulled today and totally forgot to ask if I could keep them. :(
What a weird experience it was. They put an oxygen mask over my nose, and I think an IV in my arm? I didn’t look down though, maybe it was just a shot. But it was valium. Next thing I know, the procedure is done and I’m told to get up and taken to another room to lie down. I felt totally stoned...
Cambridge, MA WFM
I got the whole group together on Sat during the meeting for a photo. This has been my second home for the last, almost two years.
I think I drank the water.

It’s for all of the Boston area… except Cambridge!! WTF.
I did this. →

Kalaine just came to take the dresser away. It was the most significant piece of furniture in my life. Someone left it behind in the apt Ant moved into with Alison when we were moving out of the studio we shared in the n. end. I’ve lugged that heavy thing around for the passed 4 yrs. I had it in the apts I shared with Rob. I bought drawer pulls from Anthro in the home sale section for...
Tattoos
It’s finally going to happen! I called and made an appt to get me and Ant’s hot dog tattoo idea drawn up. We go in for the consult on Tuesday night.
Monday- getting wisdom teeth pulled.
May 14th- last day at Whole Foods Prospect St!
Successfully completed my Oral Surg consult appt! They are taking my wisdom teeth next Wed. UGH.
Took the bus back to Harvard. Poked around the coop while waiting for Alex to drive over. I bought Haruki Murakami’s newish book What I Talk About When I Talk About Running. Mainly because, other than loving this author, I’m obsessed with the idea of running, but do not (and never...
Fun night! Met up with Alex in Allston at Sunset. Finally got to try the Harpoon Oyster Stout! It was tasty. Beer float (not with the Oyster Stout).
Great haircut today and saw Mari for probably the last time in a very long time, if ever again.
And FINALLY went to Speed’s Hot Dogs in Roxbury. Holy shit those things were huge! And delicious. Next up: HOT DOG TATTOOS.
Tonight was Ant’s senior thesis show at Mass Art.
It was a reminder of how the passed six years of our life has been. Good and bad. I couldn’t be more proud of Anthony. It hit me half-way through looking at everyone’s work on the walls, I almost started crying. I can’t believe it’s been 5 yrs here.
I’ve never been more ready for anything in my entire...
The Beets presents Todd Purple!
Record Hospital Fest
Ant and Erika picked me and Todd up from work, drove to Harvard in the pouring rain, to meet up with Liz for sushi before the show. We get to the show, and the two bands Ant and I wanted to see (1994 and Grown Ups) have already played! UGH. So we were pretty disappointed. But we still saw General Interest, Gerty Farish, Arcing (the guys from Tiny Hawks!!!), Pant’s Yell, German Measles,...

Athens/Atlanta
Was fun.
Saw Vivian Girls at the 529 Bar in Atlanta. Show was pretty fun and packed. Saw Wet Dog play before them, whom I really liked!
Of course I was there to visit Keith, who lives in Athens. What a beautiful town. I really loved it. It was great catching up with two of my good friends.
I also bought a film camera.

Last night, I seriously rode (with a bunch of people) out to the middle of nowhere Everett, MA in between warehouses and down dirt roads to go to this show:
I’ve been wanting to see AC for quite a while, and figured this would be the last chance I had before moving. It was really fun. They didn’t even start playing until 2:30a.
Wed Nite

Breakfast at Deep Ellum.
RMV
Went out to eat at Highland Kitchen then candle-pin bowling with Ant, Erika and her friend from El Paso (Aaron) tonight. It was super fun.
Jer and Alena’s wedding was beautiful. It was nice being home for a few days, even though those days were hectic. On the way down, sort of got lost taking a back way through Connecticut but remembered this hamburger place we had been wanting to check...
Jersey CHEESE
Vivian Girls and Male Bonding last night at Great Scott:
Leaving for NJ/Philly tomorrow-Sunday. Really happy to get out of this city for a few days, although I’ve been having so much fun and the weather has been perfect here. On my walk home, when Alex ran across the street to attack me, I realized I’m going to miss this extremely short period of time in my life.
On Thurs, Ant and I went to the Leatherface/Bridge and Tunnel show at Harpers. Beforehand we went to this Colombian place in Allston called Camino Real, for food. It was so good.

Hi, We are really, really sorry but we have had to email to let you know that we have just found out that we are only getting 40 copies of the Dum Dum girls tapes, and we will not be able to fulfill your...
Oh Whole Foods… So every (other?) year we try to break a record we set to see how many 80 lb wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano all the stores in existence can crack open simultaneously. Here are some photos of my humble little store, in Camby:
Joe does the honors.
Jen explains how the parm is cracked and talks about the cheese in general. Alex. Alex prepares her sample.
The team.
